my HG sunscreen
Recently, I was asked by an admin in one of the FB groups I've joined which beauty product is the most important to me. It was a really hard question given that you can't choose one product that will save you time and make your skin look young and flawless. And I love beauty products! There's so much, it's overwhelming! But, I chose SUNSCREEN. Why? Because I believe the sun is the culprit when it comes to damaging your skin. Plus, I live in a hot and humid country so sunscreen is a must.
These are my Holy Grail Sunscreens. Don't make me choose one because I won't. Pretty much I just really can't live without these. Enough of the rumbling, let's get started.
PRODUCT I

WHO'S IT FOR
All skin types especially dry skin
PRICE
SGD 50 (80 g) available at Kose counters in Singapore. Unfortunately, this isn't available in the Philippines. This was sent from my mom who resides in Japan. I think you may pre-order them here https://www.instagram.com/tokyobeauty.ph/
For international, you can get them in amazon https://www.amazon.com/KOSE-Sekkisei-Protect-SPF50-2-8oz/dp/B00BYI8NWE
PACKAGING
Comes in a tube
DIRECTIONS
from the website:
- Take an adequate amount of the product, and spread evenly over your skin.
- When removing, be sure to lather up your face wash or body soap sufficiently before giving your skin a thorough wash.
NOTES
This is fragrance-free and has a tad bit thick consistency to it. It is indeed lightweight and adds moisture to your skin making it good for those who have dry skin. This doesn't have white cast and you only need a small amount for your skin. My sensitive, acne-prone and combination skin didn't react to this at all. I also noticed that it's good for blocking UV as my skin tone hasn't changed and i have less pigmentation. Queens, I live in the Philippines and trust me, the sun is crazy over here. This has really helped me a lot.
Now for the cons, they claimed that this isn't sticky. It's a tad bit sticky. At the end of the day (especially when it's super hot and humid), I get greasy. I also won't recommend this under makeup for those who have oily skin because like I said, you'll get greasy. This is a good base for those who have dry skin because it's a bit tacky and the foundation will adhere to your skin.
*blended. notice any white residue? no. because there isn't 😎
PRODUCT II

PACKAGING

DIRECTIONS
from the website: Apply The Sunscreen Product Just Before Exposure. Re-Apply Frequently And Generously To Maintain Protection, Especially After Swimming, Perspiring Or Towelling. External Use.
NOTES
Like Kose Sunscreen, this is also fragrance-free and has a lightweight consistency. The consistency is thinner than Kose and a bit runny. This has been raved by so many beauty lovers including my favorite beauty gurus Caroline Hiron and Lisa Eldridge. Some people may think it's a hype but I promise you, it isn't and it is one of the best sunscreens out there. You need to shake this before use as this tends to separate. It also has this thing inside which makes noise when you shake it. I don't know what it is but I think it's cute 😁😅 please bear with me. This also didn't break me out and has an unnoticeable to no white cast. I'm saying unnoticeable because compared to Kose, you will see that there is a microteenee tad bit white cast and you won't notice it once applied on the skin. I hope you understand where I'm getting at 😅😂 This isn't greasy and you may use this under your makeup. This is also good for blocking UV because like I've mentioned in my review of Kose, my skin tone hasn't changed and I have less pigmentation.
Here's the thing, it's not available where I live. Plus it's hard to find the French formula 😓
before and after.
WILL I RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS?
YES!
WILL I RE-PURCHASE THESE PRODUCTS?
obviously 👌😆
