notes
You are probably wondering of the title. Is it because of the word tattoo? Is it because of the application? Before I tell you, I just want to share that I haven't tried microblading. I'm not a fan of what my brows will look like after the procedure even though I really need it. I have thin and gappy eyebrows.

For starters, this smells exactly like liquid pens (this is a liquid pen for brows so the smell didn't surprise me). It's not strong and you won't even notice it. This comes in three shades: Red Brown; Natural Brown; and Gray Brown.

I got the red brown shade because that was the only shade left in the counter. Actually this was sold out in Watsons. I had to visit the Maybellline counter in the department store and only 2 red brown shades left. I had second thoughts whether I will get this because I have black hair. What made me purchase this inspite of the shade is the undertone.

I like natural looking brows. If I buy brow products, the shade should always be lighter than the color of my brows. I'm not a fan of dark and overdrawn brows. I have to reiterate this, my brows should look natural. Red brown looks natural on my brows. For me, the red is there but not noticeable. Maybe you will notice it but for me, it's slightly there. Here are the swatches of red brown:

I swatched the other shades and I saw green undertone. Not a fan. Maybe I will purchase it in the future? I don't know. But I'm really satisfied with the red brown shade. I wasn't able to take pictures of the other shades because it slipped my mind.

This is why I thought the product mimics microblading.

I know. It's blurred. I'm sorry. I tried! Really tried. But my camera didn't want to to focus. I hope you can see that the tip is like the blade used in microblading eyebrows.

I've been testing this for days. I wasn't able to document the first time I used this nor the following days after that. But I remember when I went to work and stayed outside the studio (where it was so hot), this stayed on. Considering the sweat and having oily brows, it was still there. The time I wanted to fix the shape of my brows, I had to use my cleansing oil to clean the edges because my Bioderma micellar water can't take it off. You saw the pictures of the swatches, right? Do you know how I took them off? I rubbed a soap!

Once it's on, IT IS REALLY ON.

For the purpose of my blog, I thought about putting this to another test. So I did. I wore this for a whole day and jogged at night.

Here are the pictures:

Bad lighting. I was in the car.

Notice the red? See my point? It looks natural, right?

I didn't take pictures in the middle of the day because aside from being busy, it still looked the same.

after jogging (7:31 pm)

Barely there. But c'mon! It has been there for 12 hours. I have oily brows. I jogged. I say, give this one some credits. The only time that this failed me was when I jogged and kept on rubbing my whole face with towel.

For PHP400 or $8, I think this is worth it!
  • it doesn't transfer
  • it stays for a loooong time
  • looks natural
As for the con, remember I mentioned about staying outside the studio? I've been wearing it the whole day and I took a shower at night. I noticed after that the product was off of my brows. Don't know if it was because of the hot shower plus the fact that I have oily brows. It is a con for me because this claimed to be waterproof. I say no when you are taking a shower and using hot water.

I haven't tried this on top of makeup. I put foundation on my brows too when I'm in the mood for full makeup and when that happens, the brow product doesn't usually stay on for long. But I'm assuming that this will still perform well even though it sits on top of foundation.

The other thing is, I don't know how long this will last or how long before it dries out. We all know that some liquid pens dry out fast that's why I'm not too keen for them. We'll see.

will i still use this product?
yes!

will i recommend this product?
yes

will i repurchase this product?
it is possible
