THOUGHTS
My friend and I were talking about spot treatment since she was breaking out at that time. She mentioned this product and thought that this was really good for pimples. She never heard about this until the sister of my best friend shared that this is her remedy for acne. I too never heard about this. I was intrigued! A cheap local brand that does the job? And for acne? I should try it ASAP! And I really did.

Okay, the smell.. THE. SMELL. IS. UNBEARABLE. It caught me off guard! I'm not exaggerating. It smells like menthol and sour. It's like menthol gone bad. And the smell stays on for hours! It is really bad but for the sake of beauty, I manage to live with it when I have acne. It has a thick and a bit sticky consistency. If you will use a large amount on the skin, it will feel tacky (and smelly!).

I got the small one just to try it. A part of me thought that this will disappoint but that's not the case. I was impressed despite the smell. This dried out my small and normal size acne overnight. I also felt something cooling on some of my bumps when I first applied this. I've decided to use this once a day (night) because I'm not sure if this will sit well with my morning skincare routine and I HATE THE SMELL. Also on my first day of using this, I put this before moisturizer and I thought it was a big mistake. It was all over the place while I was massaging my face with my moisturizer. I smelt like sour milk/milk gone bad with menthol the whole night. You can really smell this, it is that strong. The next day, I've decided to put this after moisturizer and I've been doing it ever since.

For large acne, it will take longer than the usual for it to dry. It really depends on the size of the acne. I also use this with a cotton bud so I can just pin-point or target the acne and not the areas where I don't need it. This is also a bit stingy on the eyes probably because of the "cooling sensation" that it claims. It will only sting your eyes when you have acne near the eye area. I also still feel cooling sensation on some of my bumps whenever I apply this, though it doesn't feel anything on some especially on larger bumps.

I haven't tried this on dry skin or insect bites on myself. My husband applied this on insect bites and it was very itchy. A few minutes later, he was relieved though we didn't notice if it reduced the swelling and redness of the insect bites.

This is really effective for acne. The only thing is, the smell is really unbearable or maybe I'm just too sensitive 😏
