One of my favorite mascaras is from MAC, the haute and naughty mascara. When benefit they're real mascara failed me, I immediately went back to MAC and purchased this (big mistake). I was supposed to get the extended play gigablack mascara but it wasn't available. Since I wanted to try a different MAC mascara and I was so curious on the gigablack one (it has been raved by so many especially it works well on lower lashes), I got this. The MAC lady assured me that both have the same formula and the difference is only the pigmentation.
This doesn't give volume to my lashes. It doesn't give you that spidery look. It's not clumpy. It is lightweight and lengthens your lashes. I love the wand/brush because it is small, it gets the tiny hairs (I have short, thin and straight lashes 🙈). This is good for Asian lashes. Now I understand why Western ladies love using this for their lower lashes. MAC claims that this is water-resistant (not sure about that ✌) and you can easily take this off. On their website, they said that you can take off the mascara by using warm-water (I haven't tried it though).

But... This too failed me. It's a second mascara fail from MAC for me. I was told that this is a smudge-proof mascara. A big NO. The smudge was unbelievable I looked like I have the worse eyebags. I don't know if it's just because I live in a humid country or the fact that I have oily eyelids but people who raved about this didn't mention anything about the smudge and they are all Western. So I'm thinking maybe because of the weather here? I don't know. I tried using this for my upper lashes too (many times) but it really didn't hold the curl. MAC claimed that this will last up to 16 hours. In my opinion, NO. Or maybe not in this weather?
I want to say that this is only good for lower lashes but.. I can't. I tried taking pictures of the smudge but the camera, as usual, didn't do justice.
